The ocean covers 70% of the earth and is home to the largest mammals in the world. Marine life are a critical part of our eco system. Over fishing and destruction of habitats is evident and sadly this isn't something we can undo.
What is the Marine Eco-system?
We all know that there is a cycle in which everything needs to survive. This is an eco-system. Marine life starts with the plants, these are things such as as seaweed, algae and sea grasses. These plants are eaten by insects or animals from within the ocean, which are then eaten by other animals, which are then eaten by other animals until we get to the animals at the top of the food chain. Having this cycle allows animals to breed and for us to also take what we need to live and reproduce.
We are impacting their eco-system by taking more then we should. We are over fishing which means tuna for example can't reproduce enough fish to cover the amount we have taken let alone the amount that they loose to natural causes. This means that fish that would eat the tuna, then don't have enough food to feed themselves which they then in turn are dying. As a result the numbers of fish in the seas are decreasing.
Then there is how their habitats are being destroyed. I have mentioned so many times before how much plastic makes it way to the oceans. Then as a result marine life are getting caught up ingesting, getting injured ect from this as a result dying. As we neglect the oceans the amount of animals dying is going to dramatically increase and the space they have to live in is also going to dramatically decrease!

How can we help conserve the Marine life?
The damage we have done already can't be changed! But we can stop it from getting worse!
